1200x1000 single deck automated racking plastic pallets bridge an open span between two supports in a racking system. Mostly found in warehouses and distribution centers

The under side of a single deck automated racking includes bottom runners or picture frame configurations. 

1200x1000 single deck racking pallet are engineered to be able to hold a specified amount of weight in an open span racking system. Shown below, an open span rack has a front bar and a back bar and nothing in between. Rackable pallets may also be used in an edge rack where the pallet is supported by both side edges

There are 3 main types of racks that are used in the material handling industry: open beam racks, push back or flow racks, and drive-through or edge racks. An open beam rack is by far the most common type of rack and can be seen in some big box stores like Lowes or Ikea.  Sometimes these racks have wire mesh or plywood decking, which allows for the use of a stackable or nestable pallet since the application is really no different than it would be if it was simply floor loaded.
